You're invited to join Hoofbeat Heroes Equine Rescue for our next Paint & Sip event, indoors and air-conditioned, in the Mural Room at Daddy's Tacos. You will create the above stunning Three Horses in Sunset masterpiece with step-by-step instructions by the fabulous Kat of @katseyepainting (check her out on Instagram). This fun event will benefit Hoofbeat Heroes Equine Rescue, a non-profit organization, with all proceeds going towards helping feed and take care of our horses.

The other day after giving another horse some medication, Ari was in the aisle hanging the halter back up across from Cal. She turned around and Cal was in the corner, closest to her, watching her. Lucy is sailing through her pre-ride checks! Ari was checking her response to rein cues on the ground. Even for horses well trained with negative reinforcement, this check can be confusing. They're not used to turning away from a person on the ground. This was Lucy's second time working on this and she's doing incredibly!

She is a confident little lady, so we thought she might be a prime candidate for demonstrating how we can use R+ tools to work with a confident and "pushy" type of horse, rather than a shut down and/or fearful horse.
