The other day after giving another horse some medication, Ari was in the aisle hanging the halter back up across from Cal. She turned around and Cal was in the corner, closest to her, watching her. As soon as she looked at him, he took a deep breath. She said 'hi' to him, and thanked him for seeking her out, and then he started yawning and yawning and yawning! Just a couple of weeks prior, a volunteer had to hide behind another horse to catch a video of him yawning after body work, and here he was doing it with Ari right in front of him! Cal is getting more and more receptive (and even welcoming) of people approaching him and interacting on the other side of the fence. Ari has started to work with him in shared space in the aisle. Looking forward to seeing where he goes next...
